 We're Hiring: Pediatric Occupational Therapist

About Us

We are a pediatric occupational therapy clinic that offers a range of services and programs to help children with a wide variety of conditions gain independence in their daily lives. We work with children to develop the gross motor skills, fine motor skills, sensory processing skills, and visual motor skills that they need to function and socialize at home, school, play, and community environments. We also work with parents and families to provide education and support on how to help their child reach their highest level of function across settings.

We have a team of highly skilled and experienced occupational therapists who are equipped to deliver care to children with a wide variety of diagnoses. We collaborate with other specialties throughout the community to provide comprehensive and holistic care to our patients. We use evidence-based and innovative approaches to tailor our interventions to each child's unique needs and goals.


What You'll Do

As a pediatric occupational therapist, you will:


- Evaluate and treat children from birth to young adulthood with a variety of diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, sensory processing disorder, and developmental delays.

- Create individualized treatment plans that address the child's strengths, challenges, preferences, and goals.

- Provide direct therapy services using various modalities and techniques, such as sensory integration, primitive reflex integration, Handwriting Without Tears ®, The Alert Program®,  and Zones of Regulation®.

- Educate and train parents and caregivers on how to facilitate their child's development and participation in daily activities.

- Document and communicate progress and outcomes of therapy sessions to the child's family and other members of the care team.

- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.


What You'll Need

To be qualify for a pediatric occupational therapist, you will need:


- A bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy from an accredited program.

- A current license to practice occupational therapy in the state of Maryland.

- A minimum of 2 years of experience working as an occupational therapist with pediatric populations.

- A passion for working with children and families from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

- A strong sense of empathy, compassion, and professionalism.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing needs.
